Summer is here – Heat wave
Well we are in Middle of big heat wave and it is supposed to stay hot for another 10 days. The last 2 days in Kamloops have been 34 degrees making it unbearable in the car. This is causing forest fires already, hadn’t seen a blue sky for 2 days due to the hazy smoke but at last I woke up today to a beautiful sunny blue sky. Hip hip hurray for our fire fighters!
The start of summer also brings pesty friends. The mosquito’s and ants are so bad this year. I hope they hurry up and spray for mosquito’s but this probably wont happen till the river goes down. When I am out in the yard watering and working the dam things bite every 2 seconds. My legs were covered in bites but I just had 6 days off and all is well again. I like to spend an hr a day in the yard to keep on top of the work but I guess if I don’t want a bunch of bite marks my hard labor with have to cease.
