And hopefully not going anywhere for awhile as I have had 12 plane rides in the last 6 months. Montreal was fabulous as usual, I didn’t realize the jazz festival was going on and my hotel was pretty much right in the middle of it, what a nice surprise. New York was spectacular, I just love that city!  The state of New York is so beautiful as well if you have the time to drive it I suggest doing so as it is awesome scenery. I managed to see 3 broadway shows while in the city, the old buildings are classically magnificent and the performances are out of this world.

I should be back to work on Monday July 21^st. Have a great weekend! I missed you Kamloops and it is so nice to be home again.

Have you ever wondered why the guy sitting in the restaurant alone has such a wide smile on his face? He is sitting there, alone, yet he seems to be so happy and at peace with himself, so relaxed and calm. Did you ever wonder why?

For those of you who have become a part of my loyalty program (frequent customer) in the past I still will honor your remanding sessions while I am away.  I look forward to catching up with you when I return around July 14^th or so, very latest the 18^th.  After this trip I do plan to be home in Kamloops for the remainder of the summer with the exception of a few short weekend trips to Kelowna and the Shuswap.

As of this week don’t forget that when calling you now you have dial 10 digits instead of 7. It has caught me off guard all day and every time I try and make a call I get that annoying voice recording. For me remembering to dial all 10 digits will take some getting used to. When you call and leave a message be sure   to leave your area code.

A little about this great city……

Kamloops is the tournament capital of Canada. We are a city made of elite athletes. There are lots of activities to experience whether indoors or out. We have some awesome mountain bike trails, hiking, skiing, white water rafting, windsurfing, horsemanship, all this awhile having the pleasure of seeing wild life in the great outdoors of beautiful British Columbia.

Curling, hockey, golfing and softball are some of our major sports here in this tiny adventurous city. We have world class sporting facilities which you can participate in endless recreational experiences. The city has over 2,000 hrs of sunshine annually and only 270 millimeters of rain making it ideal for all recreation.

Threw out the summer there is lots of exciting festivals, patio restaurants, farmers markets,  music in the park every night, car shows, art gallery, museum, train shows, pow wows , live theatre, music performances on the streets , there really is something for everyone.

Kamloops is the 3^rd largest city in the interior with a current population of 84 thousand, and is more affordable then many other cities in the province. We often have the warmest weather in B.C. and 84 parks in this area to enjoy. Sun peaks is Canada’s 3^rd largest ski resort. This little gem of a city is changing and growing unbelievably.

Kamloops is central in B.C. also known as the heart of the province. Vancouver is only a 3.5 hrs drive west and 6 hrs east lands you in Calgary making our city the perfect rest stop and vacation get away between points. Kamloops has over 1,000 lakes and 3 rivers running through the regions area, perfect for paddle enthusiastics.

There are many other scenic activities close by our city which include a famous historic hat ranch, the city of Kelowna, the beautiful rocky mountains, Banff, all are only short day drives away.

Now you can see why I love Kamloops so much. Come visit this great culture. See you soon!

Well New York is calling me back for another trip. I am only in Kamloops till June 29^th then I will spend 3 days in Montreal and 2 weeks in New York city. I am home in sunny Kamloops, B.C. and ready to get back in the saddle again. I loved Montreal and New York and plan to go back again sometime.  Old Montreal was the best part of the trip to see with fresh lobster for dinner and horse carriage rides around the city, it was truly a wonderful experience. The buildings were so beautiful and classic. It was like being in another world because there wasn’t much English spoken and even some of the menus were only in French. The restaurants were just fabulous. I spent quit a bit of time on St Catherine’s street and also went over to view the casino as I heard it is something to see but since I am not a gambler I only spent $1.25. I did so many things to many to list but I will try and get my new pictures posted to my website soon. Even though it was awesome to see it was just another big city and I always love coming home to my small town, flying over the big beautiful mountains is so peaceful and puts a smile on my face. I missed my BC boys!

and I had a fabulous time.

I am off for the weekend, I will be back to work Wednesday May 21^st -  Have a great long weekend everyone!
